My
name is Barbara
DiBernardo, my family and I have owned German Shepherds for over 15 years. Both
my husband Kip and I developed a love for the German Shepherd Dog as children.
Kip had a German Shepherd named Dina growing up that was their family dog and
was also their protector. She was a great dog and his family talks fondly about
her still to this day 30 years later. I first fell in love with the German
Shepherd on a family vacation to visit my older brothers in Northern California
when I was six years old. They had a wood shop up there and they had a female
German Shepherd, that dog was my best friend the whole trip, whenever we went to
the shop all I did was play with her and boy did I cry when we left and I
couldn’t take her with me. That dog made a big impression on me and my memories
of our fun together on that trip are vivid to this day.
When my son was 2 we
adopted our first German Shepherd for our family, we named him “Touchdown” and
he was the most amazing dog! He was a beautiful bi-color that was 10 months old
when we got him; he was so great with our young son Alden and put up with a lot
from him! Touchdown was about thirteen when he died and it was very hard on all
of us, especially Alden, as Touchdown was in every memory he had, since we got
him when he was so young, he says he was like a brother to him as Alden is an
only child.

When Alden was five we
adopted a gorgeous Black & Red male that we named “Irish” (Yes we are Notre Dame
fans, now we had “Touchdown & Irish”) This made for some confusion for the dogs
during Notre Dame games to say the least! Irish was also an amazing dog, and he
was very well trained and knowing what I do now, I believe he was a very well
bred and well trained dog possibly even titled, he knew some very advanced
commands, had I only known them in German I probably would have discovered more
that he knew. He was a grea
t friend to our family, and great for our son Alden
to play football with, yes, even tackling! When we lived in Ohio for a couple of
years he would pull him in a sled and loved to play in the snow with Touchdown
and Alden. Irish passed away at about 14 years old, we already had two others
Shepherds by that time, but it was the end of an era for us after losing both of
our long time companions so close to each other. We were thankful that we were
blessed with those two wonderful dogs and they embedded in us a deep love for
the German Shepherd Dog.
Our hope as breeders is
that we can give that same gift to another family by providing the best quality
puppy with an outstanding temperament that will in turn make a lasting
impression on you and your family like they have in ours. I have so many
customers that have been lifelong fans of the German Shepherd, that have grown
up with German Shepherds and long for that companionship again with the dog of
their childhood. I look forward to providing the dog of your dreams to you and
your family! Call today to begin your future with a great German Shepherd Dog of
your own. Please be sure to visit our past litters
